J-Camera Privacy Policy

In short: J-Camera does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your photos and videos stay on your device. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves non-personalised advertisements.

1. Information we collect

We collect nothing. J-Camera has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no servers of our own. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us.

2. Camera, microphone and photo library

Camera — used only to show the live preview and to take photos and videos on your device. Image data is processed entirely on your iPhone and is never uploaded.
Microphone — used only to record audio while you are recording video.
Photo library — the app requests add-only access so it can save the photos and videos you shoot. It cannot read, browse or delete your existing library.

These permissions are requested by iOS the first time they are needed, and you can revoke them at any time in Settings.

3. Settings stored on your device

Your preferences (language, split-image formula, focus calibration, and similar) are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. They never leave the device and are removed when you delete the app.

4. Advertising

J-Camera is free and is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. Ads are shown occasionally after you take a photo.

We have configured AdMob to serve non-personalised ads only. This means ads are selected based on general context rather than your personal interests, and the app does not ask for tracking permission (no App Tracking Transparency prompt) and does not use the Advertising Identifier for tracking across apps or websites.

To deliver, cap the frequency of, and detect fraud in those ads, Google may process limited technical data such as a device identifier, IP address, and coarse location derived from it. That processing is governed by Google's own policies:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent dialog is presented the first time the app runs, and your choice is respected. You can change it later from that same dialog.

5. Children

J-Camera is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

6. Data we share or sell

None. We have no data to share and we sell nothing.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
