Privacy Policy
Effective September 5, 2026
JBrowser does not create user accounts or sell personal information. API settings are stored locally on the device. The app displays non-personalized banner advertising provided by Google AdMob.
Information stored on your device
Names, symbols, API URLs, JSON paths, display formats, refresh intervals, page order, and related settings are saved locally using Apple system storage. JBrowser does not upload these settings to a developer-operated account or database.
Network requests
JBrowser sends GET requests directly from your device to the API URLs configured in the app. The operator of each endpoint may receive technical information normally included with an internet request and processes it under its own privacy policy. Review an API provider's terms before adding its endpoint.
The sample world clocks use a JBrowser endpoint hosted on Microsoft Azure. It returns public time data. JBrowser does not use this service for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking, and does not intentionally store user content in an application database.
QR import and export
When you choose an image through Apple's photo picker, JBrowser reads only that selected image to decode a JBrowser QR configuration. Exported QR images are created on the device and shared only when you choose a destination. QR configurations are encoded, not encrypted, and may reveal any API URL or credential included in them.
Advertising and consent
JBrowser uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform to display banner ads and request privacy choices where required. Ad requests are configured as non-personalized, and Google's publisher first-party identifier is disabled. JBrowser does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission or directly access the advertising identifier.
Google's advertising SDK may process a device identifier, coarse location estimated from the IP address, advertising data, product interactions, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic data for advertising delivery, advertising measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and SDK operation. Google's SDK privacy manifest identifies device identifiers as data that may be used for tracking. The data available to Google depends on device settings, consent choices, location, and the ad-serving mode.
Google processes this information under its own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Children
JBrowser is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
